BRUCE AYERS has been involved with youth baseball in the Corning area for the past 30 years at both the Little League level and with the Babe Ruth Leagues. He started with the Little League as an assistant coach and since has held positions such as coach, served on the board of directors, was a district representative, all-star coach, groundskeeper, umpire and maintenance director. In other words, he has done it all from soup to nuts. For the past seven years, Bruce has donated many of his spare hours helping the Babe Ruth League keep its field in tip top shape as the assistant groundskeeper while being the head coach of one of the teams in the league. Bruce has also coached in the local Small Fry football league and the YMCA youth basketball league. He is also a big fan of the local high school football teams and rarely misses a game. When he is not committing his time to the youth leagues of the area, Bruce spends time with his family.
