Soccer - 2005
COLIN AITKEN graduated from Corning East High in 1999. He was a four-year starter for the Corning District soccer team, playing primarily as the central defender. In 1997, he anchored a Corning defense that shutout defending New York State Class B champion Bath handing them their only defeat of the season. During that same season, Colin's Corning team recorded their only victory ever over state powerhouse Union-Endicott. In 1998, he was named to the All-Leader, First-Team and recorded nine goals and five assists as a defensive center midfielder. During three of his four years as a member of the Corning team, the Hawks won the State Scholarship Award with Colin carrying the highest academic average. He was the teams' MVP in the 1998 season. He attended Wesleyan University in Middletown, Conn, and played two years there as a defender recording two assists while earning varsity letters both years.
