HAROLD (Butch) ALDRICH (Addison) played on the last three Painted Post High School teams and was the leading scorer in the history of the school averaging 18.6 points per game from 1961-63... Was a member of the very first Corning West basketball team and led them to a 21 -2 record as the leading scorer and rebounder... In the very first East-West basketball game, he scored 27 points in the second half including a school record 21 points in the fourth quarter to bring the Vikings back from a 17-point deficit to a 54-52 victory... Named to All-County and All-Section V team his senior year... Hall of Famer coach Mike Chiaramonte called Aldrich the best rebounder he ever coached in 25 years.
