Robert (Bob) T. Adams graduated from Corning West High School in 1968 where he excelled for the Vikings on their football and baseball teams.
Bob attended Corning Community College where he played soccer and ran cross country, and from there he went on to graduate from Penn State in 1978. Although he was one of the finest all around student athletes in the area, Bob’s true calling came when he became the owner of Willowcreek Golf Club in Big Flats. His contributions to the local golf scene are endless. He has supported youths interested in golf from the time he got into the business. He holds many youth golf camps, is a strong supporter of the local First Tee program and hosts many tournaments that support youth golf and many other charitable concerns. In 2002 he was awarded the Varsity H Community Award for his commitment to athletics at Horseheads HS. His golf course is the only one in the area with a junior course especially designed for 12 and under players and also the only one in the area with a special cart that can be driven onto greens and be used by handicapped players. Bob is a true champion of local golf.
