DEVIN BONIK (Minnitonika, Minn.) is recognized as one of East High's all-time defensive stars (1976-78); All-STC and All-Twin Tiers as sophomore and junior, injured as a senior . . . One of most sought-after gridders by college recruiters (Penn St., Notre Dame, Pitt, Maryland), finally signed with Oklahoma State where he played defensive varsity end as a frosh . . . After injury, returned to Oklahoma State as a graduate assistant defensive coach . . . Now operates summer football camps in Kansas City and Minnesota . . . Devin's college coach was Jimmy Johnston, later at Miami U. and now of the Dallas Cowboys . . . Devin also ranking defensive player in lacrosse at East High
