DIANE BOWER is one of the best female bowlers to ever hit the lanes in the Corning Bowling Association. She has set the standards for all others to achieve. Since her first season in 1994-95, Diane has averaged better than 200 each year and been named to the All-City, First Team each season. Her best season ever was the 221 average she posted in the 1999-2000 season which is the best ladies average ever in Corning. She has five other seasons with an average over the 210 mark. In 2002, Diane rolled games of 266, 289 and 264 for an 819 series, the best score ever for ladies in the Corning association. She also has five perfect games to her credit with four of those 300s rolled in Corning. Diane owns over two dozen city tournament titles including team event, doubles, singles and all-events. Over the years, Diane has competed in the Empire State Games and won nine different medals. She also gives back by helping youngsters as a coach and by coordinating regional tournament for the Empire Games.
