Joseph Corcoran, Jr. graduated from Corning East High in 1975 following a four year career as one of the finest defensemen in the school's history. He was named All-League as a junior and senior. He helped lead the Trojans to the Section IV Title as a senior in an upset win over Ithaca. Joe went to Hobart and lettered four years during a period when Hobart went 49-8 with Division II-III national championships as a freshman and sophomore. His teams went 4-0 versus Syracuse and 5-0 versus Towson State in his four years. He was named the winner of the Hobart College Marbury Award as a senior. Joe also played for the Milller Upstate New York Club team in 1980 and 1981. This league was the forerunner of today's professional leagues. Joe and his family are currently living in Wellesley, MA.
