NICK CURRIE

Lacrosse - 2011

NICK CURRIE graduated from Corning East High in 2004 as a three-year member of the Trojans varsity lacrosse team. He was named All-Section IV, Second Team and All-Leader, Second-Team as a junior and was All-Section IV, First-Team and All-Leader, First-Team as senior. Nick scored four goals and added an assist in the state championship game against Southside as a senior. He was also a Section IV all-star in football and the leading scorer for the Trojan basketball team as a senior, and he received the George Bacalles Memorial Award in 2004. After East, Nick took his lacrosse talents to Hobart College where he won four letters, was a three-year starter and was named captain during his senior season. He finished his career for the Statesmen with 53 goals and 16 assists to finish in the top ten all-time at Hobart in goals scored. Nick capped his career there with three goals versus eighth ranked Cornell in the first-ever night game at Boswell Field. His 17 goals as a senior in 2009 led all middies.
