ROBERT CRANDALL

Contributor - 2008

ROBERT CRANDALL has worked for the Coming Painted Post School District for the past 22 years as the Head Athletic Trainer.  He  can  be  seen  at  every  high  school  sporting  event  held  at  Memorial Stadium  whether  it  be East  or West  High School. Whenever a studentathlete comes off the field with any kind of injury, the first person at their side is Bob Crandall.

After  graduating  from Vestal  High School  where Bob  was  a  standout,  and  allleague,  soccer  player,  he  attended  Corning Community College where he played soccer and then went on to West Chester University where he played one more year of soccer. Because of the rigorous demands of the athletic training program, Bob's attention had to be focused on his studies and he didn't play soccer as a senior. Bob became the Head Soccer coach and Athletic Trainer at Elmira College for seven years, Head Softball coach at EC for three years and also served with the Boston Red Sox organization for a year before coming to Corning. He has been here for the past 22 years and has also served as the athletic trainer the past eight years for Horseheads High School District.
