RYAN CAVALLARO

Baseball - 2008

RYAN CAVALLARO graduated from Corning East High School in 2002 and was the winningest pitcher in the history of the Trojans' baseball program. During his four year varsity career, Ryan amassed a total of 27 wins versus  only  three  losses.  He  was  twice  named  to  the  STAC  AllStar  team  and  was  awarded  the  prestigious Thomas J. Rosettie Memorial Scholarship Award as a senior. His earned run average for his high school career was less than two and included a 1.45 era as a senior. He was also an accomplished hitter with a better than .300 average for his four years. Following high school, Ryan took his pitching talents to Alfred State University where he led the Pioneers to a couple of Regional Titles. He was twice selected to the Region III AllStar Team and was the teams' most valuable pitcher in 200304. Ryan ranks eighth on Alfred State's alltime list with 13 wins, eighth in strikeouts per inning (.895) and first in winning percentage at 1.000%. That's right, he never lost a game for the Pioneers. Ryan also graduated from the Harry Wendelstadt Umpire School in 2005.
