Lacrosse - 2006

CHRISTINE DORAN graduated from Corning East High School in 2000 and she left her mark on the lacrosse scene  in  more  ways  than  just  on  the  playing field.  She  was  one  of  the  young  ladies  who  was  very instrumental in the girls lacrosse program at East having played on the inaugural team in 1997 as a freshman. During her next three years as a key member of the Trojans girls lacrosse team, she helped the program develop into one of the best in the state. Cristine was instrumental in guiding the Trojans to the state tournament three years in a row including a trip to the Final Four her senior season when she served as team captain and led in goals scored with 65. She was named All­League, All­Leader and was named to the NYS Tournament Team at the Final Four. After graduation from East, Cristine became the first female lacrosse player to receive a lacrosse scholarship to a major Division I school at Syracuse University. She has given back to the sport by conducting camps and teaching sessions locally and also traveling to England teaching the sport overseas.
