Melissa (LaBelle) DeClemente was a key member of the Corning West girls basketball team that captured the new York State Class B Championship in 1995 in her junior year.

Melissa (LaBelle) DeClemente was a key member of the Corning West girls basketball team that captured the new York State Class B Championship in 1995 in her junior year. She was named to the All-State Third Team following that season and was named to the All-State First Team as a senior. Missy was an All-STC first teamer three years and was named the league MVP as a senior. She scored 1,055 during her high school career helping to lead the Vikings to three straight Sullivan Trail Conference championships. Missy went to Canisius College on a basketball scholarship where she graduated in 2000. As a senior she was named the Canisius Female Athlete of the Year. Missy was also the captain of her Empire State Games team in 1996 and was also a member of the 1996 New York State Games and played on the Crystal City Stars AAU team. Missy will be inducted into the Hall of Fame this year with her sister Sara.
