Wrestling - 2004

MARSHALL EASLING graduated from Corning East High in 1981 following a four-year stint on the varsity team. After a somewhat disappointing freshman year when he finished the season with only two wins, Marshall proved that was only going to be a stepping-stone to a stellar career. He began to turn it around as a sophomore when he won seven often matches while earning his first of three Kenneth Wheeler Outstanding Wrestler Awards. After going 9 and 2 as a junior, Marshall reaped the rewards of his hard work with a senior season that saw a 26 and 4 mark and became the first wrestler at East to win a Sullivan Trail Conference championship. He was third in the Section V, Division A and second in the State Qualifying tournament. Recently, Marshall was named as the varsity wrestling coach at Watkins Glen High School. He joins uncles Frank Brockway, Ken Brockway and Tim Brockway in the C-PP Sports Hall of Fame
