Crew - 2002

Jason Flickinger graduated from Corning East in 1995 where he was a stalwart member of the basketball team and the District soccer team. While at East, Jason was named to the All-Conference second team as a senior goaltender for the soccer and also was named to the All-Steuben County team for basketball, he was also a George Bacalles memorial Award winner and was the valedictorian of his graduation class in 1995. 

It was then on to Princeton University and his introduction to the sport of rowing. He took to rowing like a fish takes to water and he immediately became a fixture in the varsity eight crew. As a junior and senior at Princeton, his crew won the Ivy League championship and Jason was also a key member of the Tigers National Championship crew during his junior season. They finished second in his senior year. During and following his rowing career at Princeton, Jason was named as a member of the United States National Rowing Team. With the National team, he competed in world championships in Greece, Germany, Croatia and Italy. His team was always in the top three at these championships. Jason's teams won the Nation's Cup in Hamburg, Germany in 1999, the FISA Princeton World Cup Regatta in 2001, the Head of the Charles Regatta, Boston, Mass, in 2001 and the Head of the Schuykill Regatta in 2001.

Jason graduated from Princeton with a BSE in Mechanical Engineering and is still involved in the sport of rowing. After a break from international rowing, Jason was part of the United States Coxed Four which won Gold at the World Championships in Milan in 2003.
