LINDA FOX

Golf - 2000

Linda Fox has been playing golf in the Corning area for almost 20 years and has been winning club championships since 1982. It was that year that Linda won the club championship at Indian Hills Golf Club. She moved her interests to the Corning Country Club and has competed in their club championship since the mid-1980s. Linda won her club championship at the Corning Country Club in 1987 and then repeated as the champion of the club in 1993, 1996 and 1998. She was also the runner-up for the club championship at the Coming Country Club in 1986, 1988, 1992, 1994 and 1995. Linda capped her 1986 golf season by winning the ladies division of the Twin Tiers Tournament Championship. In 1997, she accented her season by capturing the Finger Lakes Golf Championship. Linda is originally from Bellows Falls, Vermont where she went to high school and then attended the University of Vermont in Burlington. She currently lives in Painted Post with her husband John.
