Basketball - 1999

Jeff Goodrich graduated from Corning West in 1985 after a stellar three year career on the Vikings varsity basketball team. During these three years as a starter in the West backcourt, Jeff averaged 14.5 points per game (without the benefit of the 3-point shot) and recorded 4.3 rebounds and 3.5 assists per game. At one point during his career, the Vikings reeled off 20 consecutive victories. Jeff was named to the All-STC team as a junior and senior after being an honorable mention selection as a sophomore. He was called by many STC coaches as the best pure shooter in the league. Jeff was named all Twin-Tiers as a senior. Following high school graduation, Jeff attended Corning Community College where he discovered a new weapon for his offensive arsenal - the 3-point shot. While at CCC he set two school records - the most three-point field goals ever scored and the best shooting percentage fort he 3-point shot. He made over 41 % of the trifectas he attempted. Jeff went on to Eastern Kentucky where he finished his college education. He joins his wife, Susan Allowat Goodrich (softball -1997) in the Hall of Fame. They are the proud parents of a son, Jordan.
