Softball - 2005

SUZETTE GEHL graduated from Corning West High in 1995. She was a four year starter for the varsity softball team. As a switch­hitter, she played shortstop, second base and catcher. Suzette was named to the All-­STC second team  as  a sophomore  and made the first team  during  her junior  and senior seasons. She finished her high school career with a batting average over .400 and an on base percentage close to .500. Upon graduating from West High, Suzette was recruited and played softball for Pace University. As a senior, she led the team with a .430 batting average, six home runs, 44 runs batted  in  and  a fielding  percentage  of  .980.  During  her four  years  at  Pace,  Suzette  carried  a  .403 batting average and set Pace records of 184 hits, 38 doubles and 119 RBIs. During her senior season, she was named the Female Co­Athlete of the Year. She still plays recreational softball today. Suzette currently resides in Englewood, New Jersey.
