Softball - 2005
SUZETTE GEHL graduated from Corning West High in 1995. She was a four year starter for the varsity softball team. As a switchhitter, she played shortstop, second base and catcher. Suzette was named to the All-STC second team as a sophomore and made the first team during her junior and senior seasons. She finished her high school career with a batting average over .400 and an on base percentage close to .500. Upon graduating from West High, Suzette was recruited and played softball for Pace University. As a senior, she led the team with a .430 batting average, six home runs, 44 runs batted in and a fielding percentage of .980. During her four years at Pace, Suzette carried a .403 batting average and set Pace records of 184 hits, 38 doubles and 119 RBIs. During her senior season, she was named the Female CoAthlete of the Year. She still plays recreational softball today. Suzette currently resides in Englewood, New Jersey.
