Swimming - 1995

CHAD JACOBY (Summerland Key, FL), was regarded as perhaps the best diver ever to come out of Corning East. He was a five-year member of the swimming teams earning All-STC honors his junior and senior years. He was twice named to compete in the Empire States Games. As a senior, Chad won the Section IV, Class A championship and went on to finish 9th in the State Meet. He was accepted into the Coast Guard Academy where he set numerous school records and qualified for NCAA, Division III Diving Championships in 1989, 90 and 91. He also helped manage the girls swim teams in Corning for four years. He graduated in 1992 and is now serving the United States Coast Guard as an engineering office. Chad swam for Hall of Fame coach Cyndy Adler in high school.
