Lacrosse - 2011

JOE KOSTOLANSKY graduated from Corning East High in 1998 and was a three-year starter on attack for the Trojans lacrosse team. During his three-year stint for East, the Trojans were 63-3 with two of the losses in state final games and the other in a state semi-final game. He finished his career at East with 117 goals and 110 assists for 227 points, the eighth best mark at the time of graduation and the most points ever by a players since 1996. He was All-Southern Tier, First-Team as a junior and senior and was selected to play in the North-South High School All-Star game. Joe took his talents to Hofstra University on a lacrosse scholarship. He led Hofstra to the NCAA tournament three times including one Quarterfinal appearance. Twice he was named All-League and as a senior captain, Joe led the team in scoring. After graduating from Hofstra in 2002, Joe went on to play in the Major Lacrosse League for Rochester Rattlers, Boston Cannons and San Francisco Dragons, which he currently still plays for. He has also coached at the collegiate level with Skidmore College and the University of Vermont.
