Richard Kimble (Painted Post) was a stalwart member of the Corning West football teams during the early 1980s for C-PP Hall of Fame coach Arnie Northrop...all Twin Tiers and All-STC as a junior and senior-played key role as the Vikings won the Section IV Division I & II Championship...was named the Twin Tiers defensive Player of the Year in 1984 and was awarded the Kevin Welty Scholarship—following his four-year varsity career at Corning West, Richard went on to star for the Mansfield University football team...was named to the ECAC Defensive Honor Roll 4 weeks in 1988...named the Most Improved Mansfield football player in 1987 and was named the Mansfield Defensive Player of the Year in 1988 when he led the team with a record 133 tackles...named to the All-Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference First Team and All-East Coast Athletic Conference Second Team following his senior season at Mansfield—currently is a member of the Hornell Dragons, a minor league football team.\
