Joe Lando (Corning) capped his three-year career at Corning East when he was named High School All-American following his senior season for the Trojans. After being used sparingly as a sophomore, Joe earned a starting nod and was named All-Southern Tier lacrosse as a junior and senior as a mid-fielder...In 49 games for the Trojans, Joe scored 47 goals and assisted on 35 others...Was a key member of the East team that won the Sectional title in 1988 but lost to eventual State Champion Cortland in the state quarterfinal game...played for the Western team in the Empire State Games following his junior season—Went to Cornell University where he started for four years for Coach Rich Moran's Big Red. ..Capped his collegiate career by being awarded the Cornell Outstanding Senior Lacrosse Player—Currently helps as a volunteer coach for Corning East.
