WILLIAM LINDERMAN: Bill, now of Midland, Texas, was outstanding southpaw pitcher with championship NHS in late '30s and with area semi-pros . . . After outstanding World War II baseball career, signed with Phillies chain in '46 and had 14-10 rookie season in Three-I League... Later 7-3 with pennant-winning Utica in Eastern League, where played with several Philadelphia Whiz Kids who later won NL pennant... Sore arm in '48 ended pro career but continued to pitch several seasons with Indiana industrial teams.
