AMANDA MCCLURE

Volleyball - 2010

AMANDA MCCLURE graduated from Corning West High in 2002 and was a three-sport star for the Vikings over the course of her high school career. She’s being inducted in the Hall of Fame for volleyball, but could very well have made it for lacrosse and she also was an outstanding performer for the District track team. During her three years on the Vikings volleyball team, Amanda was named to the All-STAC, Second-Team all three years and was named to the All-State, Fifth-Team following her senior season. As an all around student-athlete, Amanda was a Bacalles Memorial Award winner and also received the Julie Ann Iocca Memorial Award for volleyball excellence. She was also named All-STAC  as a member of the Vikings lacrosse teams. While competing for the District track team, Amanda set a district record for the pole vault. Following graduation from West, Amanda took her talents to LeMoyne College in Syracuse where she started four years for their Division II volleyball team and also played on their Division I lacrosse team. She is currently the Assistant Media Relations Director at the University of Virginia.
