BERNITA MILLHOLLEN began coaching the youth bowlers of the Corning area in 1969 and is still active in that capacity today. She is currently in her 42nd year as a youth bowling coach. She, along with her husband Don have been teaching kids the game of bowling for the love of the game and the kids. Bernita co-chaired the New York State Youth Banquet for 12 years and has co-chaired the Martin Luther King Jr. Tournament for kids since it was formed in 2000. She has also assisted with the youth holiday doubles tournament since 1980. She has attended national youth bowling workshops in Fort Worth, TX; Cincinnati, OH; Norfolk, VA and Las Vegas, NV. When Bernita is not helping with the kids, she is doing her thing with the ladies association. She was the secretary/treasurer of the C & C Electric Bowlerette League for six years and took over as secretary/treasurer of the Corning Women’s Bowling Association in 1996 and still holds that position today. Bernita also serves on the Board of Directors of the Corning Bowling Council.
