Soccer - 2009

KATE MILAZZO graduated from Corning East High School in 2003 and was the starting goalie for the Corning District girls’soccer for four seasons after spending her eighth grade year as the goalie for the JV squad. Kate played every minute of every game during her varsity career. During her high school career, she was named All-Leader, All STAC and was a nominee for the prestigious Ernie Davis Scholarship Award following her senior year. Kate was the team captain as a junior and senior. During high school, she also played basketball and competed for the District track and field team for three years. Following high school, Kate took her goalkeeping skills to Division III. Catholic University where she played for four years helping her team win the Capitol Athletic Conference and a berth in the NCAA Tournament. She also competed for the Lady Cardinals track and field teams. She keeps her hand in the game as a youth soccer coach in the Washington DC area where she also competes in an adult co-ed league. Kate is currently an assistant teacher at The Smithsonian Early Enrichment Center in Washington.
