KIM McNANEY is the only girls lacrosse coach Corning East High has ever had. The program started in 1997 and Kim was the coach for every season since then. As the only girls lacrosse ever at Corning East High School she posted quite a legacy. With a career record of 210-67, her teams had 13 appearances in the New York State Tournament including seven Quarter Finals, five Semi-Finals and one Final. Her teams won ten sectional titles along the way. Twice she was named the Female Coach of the Southern Tier by the Star-Gazette. Kim has coached 13 U.S. All-Americans, including seven First Team members and two Academic All-Americans. A number of her players have gone on to star at Division I and Division II programs all over the country. She has also been a head coach and an assistant four times in the Empire State Games with one gold medal and three silver medals. Since 2001, Kim has been a member of the Board of Directors of the Corning Area Youth Lacrosse League, and for the past 2 years she has also been the head coach for a highly competitive travel lacrosse team – the Relentless Hustle Renegades of Rochester. This spring she will become the first coach for the Corning Hawks varsity girls lacrosse team.
