Softball - 2004

TAMIE MCCARTHY graduated from Corning East in 1992 after a stellar athletic career that saw her compete for the Trojans in Softball, basketball and soccer. She was an All-STC performer for the softball team and the basketball team. Her talent on the softball field led to a scholarship to Teikyo Post University where she was a standout for both the softball and basketball teams. She helped lead the Eagles to the Central Atlantic Athletic Conference each year and was named to the All League team as a junior and senior. Tamie established a national record while at TPU when she set the NAIA record for consecutive stolen bases including a perfect 50 for 50 as a senior. She is second all time at TPU with 200 runs scored and in 1996 Tamie was named the Outstanding Female Athlete of the Year at TPU. For her efforts on the softball field and the basketball court, Tamie was inducted into the Teikyo Post University Athletic Hall of Fame in 2002.
