Football - 2005
FRANK OLMES graduated from Corning East High in 1991 after a stellar high school career with the Trojan's football program. He was named to the All-Twin Tiers All-Star team as a quarterback in both his junior and senior seasons and was also selected to the Section IV All-Star team both years. He rushed for over a 100 yards and passed for over 350 as a sophomore. In his junior year, Frank rushed for 717 yards with nine IDs and passed for 688 yards (54 completions in 87 attempts) with seven TDs. The only loss for East in Frank's junior year was a 21-19 defeat at Union-Endicott in the sectionals (no state playoffs then). U-E finished that year as the 9th ranked high school team in the USA Today poll. Frank finished his brilliant high school football career as a senior with 907 yards rushing for 12 TDs and 494 yards passing with 34 completions in 68 attempts and seven TDs. Frank was also a key member of the East High varsity lacrosse program for three seasons. He went on to attend the University of San Francisco where he now lives with his wife and five sons.
