JOHN OLMSTEAD

JOHN OLMSTEAD graduated from Coming West in 1985 following a very successful career as a high scoring member of the Vikings lacrosse team. He finished his senior season with 22 goals and 36 assists and was honorable mention, All-Conference. Following graduation, John took his lacrosse skills to the University of Notre Dame where he blossomed into one of the best players in the history of the school. He was a fouryear letter winner and Most Valuable Player as a junior and senior, serving as team captain his senior season. John was an Academic All-American in 1988 and 1989, Midwest Lacrosse Association AllConference and a MLA Great Lakes Conference All-star as a junior and senior. John was named to the Notre Dame's AllDecade Team for the 1980s as an attacker. He finished his career with the Fighting Irish with 83 goals (8th alltime), 63 assists (5th alltime) and 146 total points (6th alltime). Dr. John Olmstead is currently living in Painted Post, N.Y.
