JOHN OLMSTEAD

Lacrosse - 2007

JOHN OLMSTEAD graduated from Coming  West in 1985 following  a very successful  career  as a high­ scoring member  of the Vikings lacrosse team. He finished  his senior season with 22 goals  and 36 assists  and was honorable mention, All­-Conference.  Following  graduation, John  took  his  lacrosse skills  to  the  University  of  Notre Dame where he blossomed into one of the best players in the history of the school. He was a four­year letter winner and Most Valuable Player as a junior and senior, serving as team captain his senior season. John was an Academic All-­American in 1988 and 1989, Midwest Lacrosse Association All­Conference and a MLA Great Lakes Conference All-­star as a junior and senior. John was named to the Notre Dame's All­Decade Team for the 1980s as an attacker. He finished his career with the Fighting Irish with 83 goals (8th all­time), 63 assists (5th all­time) and 146 total points (6th all­time). Dr. John Olmstead is currently living in Painted Post, N.Y.
