Thomas Pierri and his wife, Diane, own and operate the Central Restaurant in Painted Post. For over 30 years, Tom has sponsored teams and sporting events in the Corning- Painted Post area. He has sponsored a Little League team and a Cinderella team since 1980, and in 1985 he began sponsoring a Little League and Cinderella team in Corning. He continues to support both leagues today. Ever since moving the restaurant to the site in Painted Post, Tom has sponsored several youth soccer teams and a number of bowling teams in local leagues and even been the sponsor of a full league for over 20 years. During the heyday of softball leagues in Corning, Tom sponsored a team every year, and while the Central was still at the Baker Street site, he even built a softball field for the local league to play on. He also sponsors and supports a number of golf tournaments with free dinners and hole sponsorships. He is truly the modern day version of Ed Tarantelli and Tom Woodhouse. There are very few events in the area that take place without Tom’s support. And of course, he is a very strong supporter of the Painted Post Colonial Days.
