Wrestling - 2010

BRUNO QUOTTRONE graduated from Corning East High School in 1989 following a five-year varsity career as a member of the wrestling team. During his career at East, Bruno registered 104 wins and capped that record with a 33-2 mark as a senior. As a senior, he won four tournament championships. He was a two-time Section IV Class A Champion. Bruno was awarded the Kenneth Wheeler Memorial Award as the outstanding wrestler at East High as both a junior and senior. After his graduation from East High, Bruno went to Ithaca College where he earned three letters as member of the wrestling team, helping the team win a Division III National Championship. As a youth, Bruno was ranked in the top ten in New York State for racquetball and took that experience with him to win the Florida State Racquetball Championship in Division A. He currently teaches physical education and coaches the golf team at Tampa Prep High School, recently winning his 100th match. He was named the Tampa Coach of the Year in 2005. And going back to his roots, Bruno also coaches the middle school wrestling team at Tampa Prep.
