Football - 1999
Tim Roe, a 1971 graduate, was a member of the first ever undefeated Corning East football team in 1970. He played a key role on both the offensive and defensive lines but it was on offense where he thoroughly dominated his opponents. He was a great pass blocker and keyed the Trojans running game as a pulling tackle. Tim was All-STC as an offensive tackle in both his junior and senior seasons winning the B'nai B'rith Award as outstanding offensive lineman as a senior. He also received the Corning Lions Club award as the best offensive lineman and was named the Ed Hickey Award winner as best lineman at Corning East. Tim was also a stalwart defenseman for the Corning East lacrosse team under Hall of Fame coach Joe Corcoran. He continued his education at Coming Community College then went to Towson State University where he played lacrosse at the Division I level. For the past 13 years, Tim has coached the Corning Skyhawks youth travel lacrosse team. He currently lives in Corning with his family and is very much involved in the area sports scene. Tim joins his late sister Kathy Roe (softball-1996) in the Hall of Fame.
