William Starner

Cross Country - 2003

William Starner graduated from Corning East High in 1995 following a four year varsity career with the Corning District cross country team. Bill was a two-time STC champion and the Section 4 Champion as a senior. He was named to the ALL-STC team all four years. He also qualified for the State meet all four years, finishing in the top 35 each time. Bill was the team captain as a junior and senior leading his team to the STC title his last three years. He took his running talent to Shippensburg University where he lettered all four years and was the team captain as a senior. Bill led his team to an 8th place finish in the National Meet as a senior. He currently teaches English in Japan.
