Softball - 2013

Domino-Marie Usiak graduated from Corning West High in 2006 following a standout career for the Vikings softball team. She was a three-time All-League performer and was named to the All-Leader Team three times. She finished her high school career with a .349 lifetime batting average and a 1.000 career fielding percentage as a catcher. She attended Corning Community College for two years. As a freshman she caught all 36 games and as a sophomore played catcher, shortstop, second base and all three outfield positions. Domino finished her career with the Red Barons with a .394 batting average, 36 RBI and 56 runs scored and was named to the NJCAA All-Region Team as a sophomore. Then it was on to Keuka College where she led the team to two NCAA Regional Tournaments. She had a .344 career batting average and set an all-time school record .987 fielding percentage. Over the course of her career, Domino also played for several travel teams, including the Lady Raiders, Lady Bandits, Corning Junior Barons, Lady Ice and the Rochester Wildfire, winning numerous tournament titles.  She earned her BA degree in elementary education from Keuka in 2011 and her MA in 2012 and is currently working as a pre-K teacher in the Macedon school district.
