Lacrosse - 2006

MARK WILLIAMSON graduated from Corning East High School in 2000. He was key member of the Trojans lacrosse program having played on the varsity team for two years. He was an All­League selection as a junior and senior and between the summer of those two seasons, he played for the Western team in the Empire State Games. As a senior he earned the Scholar Athlete Award following a season in which he led the Trojans with 90 goals. Mark was selected as the Section IV, Class MVP. After graduating from East, Mark was recruited by Bucknell, Cornell, Notre Dame and Drexel. Choosing Drexel University, Mark was named the American East Conference  Rookie  of  the  Year  in  2001  and  finished  as  the  leading  scorer  for  the  Dragons.  Following  his sophomore season, Mark transferred to Hobart College for his junior and senior seasons. He was named the team MVP as a senior and earned the Dobbins Awards as the offensive leader of the team. He was the team's leading scorer  as  a  senior  with  a  34  goals  and  22  assists  for  56  points,  holding  the  season  scoring  record  for  the Statesmen since the school went Division I. Mark is currently an assistant coach of the Elmira College lacrosse team.
