Lacrosse - 2014
Matthew Warner graduated from Corning East High School in 2002 after a four year career playing for the Trojans varsity lacrosse team. From his crease attack position, Matt helped lead East to four Sectional titles, one state runner-up team and three other berths into the state quarterfinals.
Matt was offered a lacrosse scholarship to Division I Mount Saint Mary’s University in Emmitsburg, MD. As a freshman, he was named the Player of the Year in the MAAC as he led them to the MAAC championship and a berth in the NCAA Division I tournament. Following his senior campaign, Matt was named the MAAC Offensive Player of the Year and was the second leading scorer in the NCAA. Matt is the all-time leading goal scorer for Mount Saint Mary’s with 138 goals and holds the school record for goals in one season with 53 as a senior. He currently coaches youth lacrosse in Maryland and is an assistant coach for Reservoir High School in Fulton, Maryland.
