WILLIAM H. (WILL) WHITE. The late Will White joins brother Deacon Jim from Caton in the Sports Hall . . . Will (pitcher) formed battery with Jim in the early days of pro baseball (1870s) . . . Brothers pioneered curve ball; Will saw it legalized while pitching with Boston Red Stockings, Cincy, Detroit . . . Had Majors league-leading 40-12 win mark in '82; also managed in Cincy . Had back-to-back 40-win seasons at height of mound career.
